At about 14:48 p. m. on March 21, an explosion occurred in tianjiayi chemical co., ltd., located in xiangshui county ecological chemical park, Yancheng, Jiangsu province. At present, Jiangsu Yancheng chemical plant explosion fire has been controlled. According to the People's Daily, as of 7 o'clock this morning, 44 people have been killed, 32 critically ill, and 58 seriously injured.
At about 18:00 on March 21, Suolong Fire received an emergency notice from the Jiangsu Provincial Fire Rescue Corps, Taizhou Fire Detachment, Changzhou Fire Detachment and other rescue teams of the Emergency Management Department, and immediately called anti-soluble aqueous film-forming foam fire extinguishing agent to support the rescue scene. The leaders of the company attached great importance to the overnight emergency response, organized an emergency meeting of all staff, and quickly carried out the preparation of rescue materials. At about 19:00, four engineering and technical personnel of the company rushed to the scene of the accident with the first batch of relief materials to participate in the rescue work.
As of 1: 00 a.m. on the 22nd, Suolong Company had dispatched seven large trucks to the scene of the accident to transport nearly 200 tons of anti-soluble aqueous film-forming foam extinguishing agent for rescue materials. The fire has now been brought under control, with live video showing the fire-fighting foam being sprayed chest-deep.
Firefighters went deep into the factory area to search and rescue the trapped people, and found several injured and buried people in the ruins of the park. After full rescue by firefighters, the buried people were rescued one after another.
A total of 41 fire engines and 188 firefighters were at the scene to carry out disposal. The Jiangsu Provincial Fire Rescue Corps mobilized 62 fire trucks and 247 firefighters from Taizhou, Yancheng, Lianyungang, Huai'an, Suqian and Jiangsu Corps training bases to the scene for reinforcements.
In addition, the National Health Commission has dispatched 11 medical experts from the National Health Emergency Team (Jiangsu) to the scene, and transferred experts in critical medicine, burns, and neurosurgery from Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine, and Beijing Anding Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University Psychological intervention experts rushed to the local area on the evening of the 21st.
