From December 19th to 21st, 2018, the fourth meeting of the second session of the Ship Fire Protection Sub-Technical Committee of the National Marine Machinery Standardization Technical Committee and the standard review meeting were held in Nanning, Guangxi. 34 representatives from 31 units attended the meeting. On December 20, Secretary-General Sun Meng, on behalf of the Secretariat of the Fire Sub-Committee, summarized the work of the Sub-Committee in the past five years, mainly including the current status of standards, standard review, annual meeting, technical exchanges, and research topics., And introduced the work plan and key directions for the next 3 to 5 years. The participating members and expert representatives discussed the work summary and work plan, and combined with the technical hotspots and the actual situation of each unit, the ship fire protection sub-technical committee's key lack of standard preparation needs, international standard breakthroughs, standard use and training, and increase group standards Effective supply and other aspects provided targeted opinions and suggestions.
The meeting specially invited Zhu Tao, director of the Standardization Center of the Naval Research Institute, Professor Zhou Hua of Zhejiang University, Dr. Cong Beihua of Tongji University, and Kuang Kaiqian, director of the Fire Protection Center of Shenzhen Public Safety Research Institute, to give detailed introduction to the standard requirements for surface ship damage pipes, the technological progress of water hydraulic axial piston pump, the application of high-pressure water mist fire extinguishing system in offshore wind power industry, and the research on public fire safety in super-sized cities. During the meeting, the participants exchanged views with experts on the integration of military and civilian standards, the domestic research and development dilemma of new core fire protection products, the expansion of water mist application, and the opportunities and challenges brought by the establishment of the emergency rescue management department. The whole meeting was presided over by chairman Li Chuanming.
At the meeting, experts reviewed the national standard of "marine water hydraulic axial piston pump". After expert inquiry and preparation group reply, it was unanimously agreed that the standard passed the review.
