The outer spreading power and foam properties of different green outer active agents were studied by orthogonal refinement test. The foam properties of the nutrients of the alkyl amino acid base and the outer extension power of the outer active agent S were mainly studied. The contents of the two outer active agents were determined by orthogonal refinement tests considering the interaction. The fire extinguishing efficiency of the foam fire extinguishing agent containing 2.5% amino acid base agent nutrients and 2% S outer active agent meets the requirements of national standards. Fluorocarbon outer active agent has high surface activity and is widely used in water-based film-forming foam fire extinguishing agent, which is the main component of foam fire extinguishing agent. However, due to its high chemical stability and high thermal stability, it is difficult to degrade for a long time and will pollute the environment. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a green outer active agent with good biodegradability and biocompatibility to replace the fluorocarbon outer active agent.

Our company is looking for highly biodegradable and inexpensive surface active agents on the market to replace fluorocarbon outer active agents and develop efficient and environmentally friendly foam fire extinguishing agents. The key technology is to find an outer active agent to reduce the outer expansion force of the system, so that the foam extinguishing agent can spread rapidly on the oil surface.


Selection of efficient and environmentally friendly foam extinguishing agent? The outer active agent for developing foam extinguishing agent should meet the following conditions:


(1) Commercial products and chemical plants for large-scale production;


(2) It is very cheap and can be widely used by fire forces;


(3) Green environmental protection, no pollution to water and soil. Ten outer active agents were initially selected: soybean phospholipid, S outer active agent, alkyl nutrient glycoside, alkyl nutrient amide, sodium fatty acid methyl ester sulfonate, sodium lauroyl glutamate, sodium dodecyl sarcosinate, coconut fatty acid potassium glycinate, cocamidopropyl betaine, dodecyl dimethyl betaine.


2. Screening and refinement test of outer active agent


According to the orthogonal table, the above-mentioned 10 outer active agents were tested for orthogonal refinement with 10 factors and 2 levels. The refined test indexes were the outer layer expansion strength, interfacial tension, foaming ratio and 25% liquid separation time of different formulations. The test shall be carried out in accordance with the test methods specified in the GB15308-2006 Foam Extinguishing Agent.


Alkyl nutrient amide helps to extend the liquid separation time, improve the foaming rate, and reduce the expansion force of the outer layer of the system. The S outer active agent helps to reduce the outer extension force of the system. Soybean lecithin is not suitable for the development of foam fire extinguishing agent. Therefore, alkyl amino acid base nutrient and S outer active agent were selected as outer active agents. The foaming properties of the alkyl amino acid base nutrient and the outer extension force reduction properties of the S outer active agent were further tested to determine the content of the two outer active agents in the fire extinguishing agent formulation.
